Managing Director, ASCC
German Sterligov is a politician, entrepreneur and peasant. Born in 1966, he went to school in Moscow (majoring in English) and studied law at Moscow State University. He then established a small law firm called Pulsar before founding the private commodity exchange Alisa in 1990. As a result of its success, he became the first capitalist millionaire of the Soviet period.
He then went into politics, and was elected Marshal of Nobility for the Moscow region in 1996. He was a candidate in the 2002 election for the governorship of Krasnoyarsky Kray, a candidate for Mayoralty of Moscow in 2003 and stood for the Presidency of the Russian Federation in 2004.
Since the late 1990s, Mr Sterligov has operated an organic farming business at his estate outside Moscow. In 2008 he launched ASCC in Moscow.
ASCC representative in London
Ivan Zhiznevskiy is a broadcaster and the ASCC's representative in London. He was born in 1984 in Moscow and educated at Moscow State University, from where he graduated with an MA in Sociology in 2005. He is now taking an executive PhD course at Moscow State University.
Ivan Zhiznevskiy has been a radio journalist, news presenter and commentator at Business-FM radio in Moscow. He ran a world business news round-up programme and produced several special radio projects such as "The Financial Crisis - Opinions in Europe" (2009) and "Russian Investment Opportunities" (2008).
He was appointed ASCC representative in London and relocated to the UK in 2009.
